David De Gea reacts to Jose Mourinho appointment, hints he is staying at Man Utd

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has indicated he will reject any overtures from Real Madrid to stay at Old Trafford and work with new manager Jose Mourinho.
Giving an interview in his homeland, the Spain international branded Mourinho a winner and suggested they will make a good team.
He told Spanish newspaper Marca: “When you talk about Jose Mourinho, you talk about a coach who’s a winner. And that is also the philosophy of United and me.
“It is possible to build a great team around that idea. I welcome him.”
De Gea, aged 25, came close to joining his hometown club of Madrid last summer. The deal collapsed at the eleventh hour when paperwork was not submitted before the transfer deadline.
He subsequently signed a new contract with United to avoid being frozen out of the team last season, but there were suggestions at the time that the new deal might include a clause to allow him to move to the Bernabeu this summer.
De Gea’s latest comments will offer reassurance to United fans that a move to Madrid is not on the agenda and that he intends to stick around despite the lack of Champions League football on offer.
