Paul Pogba is relishing the prospect of playing at a home European Championship as France finalise their preparations for this summer’s tournament. Furthermore, the midfielder added that his country have a “great chance” of winning the competition.
The Juventus midfielder is looking forward to Euro 2016 and believes France can capitalise on the home support.
France will kick off this summer’s tournament against Romania on June 10th, in what will be the biggest European Championship in its history.
Despite the added pressure of playing as the home nation, Pogba believes his team can harness the support to their benefit.
Speaking to The Times of India, the 23 year-old said he would love to entertain the home fans and give them something to cheer about.

He said (quotes via Goal): “It’s a pressure, but at the same time, it’s a pure joy to be able to play in front of our own people. That’s our strength this time.
“It would be great to entertain them with our performances.”
Pogba hopes the atmosphere will motivate his team to Euro success and believes they have a team capable of winning the tournament.
He continued: “We have a very good chance of winning the tournament. We have a good side, experienced but young and hungry.”
France face a relatively straight forward task in the group stage of the tournament. After kicking off against Romania, Les Bleus will face up to Albania and Switzerland.
France last won the Euros back in 2000 and Didier Deschamps will hope to put a controversial preparation behind him to guide his side to victory.
